Not because we are forced to follow rules or expectations, but because we believe it is important to contribute to a better world.
OUR GREENHOUSE
A facility built with modern technology to minimize climate impact. This is achieved through efficient cooling systems, high performing insulation and advanced heat recovery solutions. The building is constructed using green concrete and green asphalt wherever possible. On the roof, a solar park generates renewable electricity that covers part of our operational energy needs, and automation throughout the facility contributes to a safer and more sustainable working environment.
In addition, we offer green charging for all passenger vehicles, and the infrastructure is already prepared for future charging of heavy duty trucks.
ECO PARK WITH THREE ZONES
Greenfood and Skanska have created an eco park that guides insects and birds toward nearby forest and green areas. The park is divided into three zones. One zone focuses on edible species, including walnut trees, hazel and sweet chestnut. Another zone is filled with wild roses, elder and cherry trees. In the third zone, the landscape reflects the characteristic scenery of southern Sweden, with avenues of oak, whitebeam and linden. In total, twenty three species of trees and shrubs and twenty five species of meadow flowers have been planted.
The area also serves as a habitat for pollinators. On a south facing hill, edible plants have been added, and piles of wood have been arranged to support wild bees. All of this is designed to strengthen the essential work of pollinators, ensuring that plants can reproduce. This is crucial, as the entire group depends on pollination to produce fruit and vegetables.
